Evrim Baran is a graduate student specializing in Curriculum and Instructional Technology with a co-major in Human Computer Interaction. She holds B.S. degree in Computer Education and Instructional Technology and M.S. degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Middle East Technical University, Turkey. She worked as an instructional designer for four years at Halici Informatics Corp. (Turkey) which was in the business of e-learning and educational software development. During her professional work she gained practical experiences in project management, design team coordination, plan, design, development and evaluation of educational software, usability testing, grant and technical documentation writing.

She is currently working as a research assistant in TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) study which was designed to measure preservice teachers' knowledge development of TPCK.
Her research interests bring together instructional design, collaborative learning settings and teacher education. Specifically she is working on the use of participatory design methods in instructional design contexts, generating facilitation strategies to improve virtual team work and TPCK development in preservice teacher education. |
