Sarah Baughman is originally from Newell, Iowa where she graduated from Newell-Fonda High School. Sarah is a junior at Iowa State University in English Education. She hopes to teach upper level high school. This is her second year here at the CTLT. She enjoys working with the people who come in and learning along side them as she helps to correct problems. She is excited to learn more and be able to apply what she has learned in her next few years here at Iowa State.

Looking towards the future, Sarah can see herself teaching English at the High School level. She hopes to broaden students' horizons to literature, both contemporary and the classics. She also desires to coach Speech and help students get over the fear of public speaking. Her high school English teacher, Connie Doonan, was the biggest influence on her future decisions. She helped Sarah learn to branch out into literature and to hone her writing skills.

On campus Sarah is on leadership with The River, a campus ministry and is the hospitality director there also. In her free time she reads young adult novels (to stay up with what her students will be reading) and Jane Austin's novels. She watches movies, and listens to an array of music spanning all genres, except rap and country. She loves spending time with her crazy friends, doing things like eating at Perkins late at night or yelling at movies in the dollar theater.
