A wide variety of innovative projects provide the engine for CTLT scholarship over the years by many collaborators, from international consortia to student projects. Funding has been secured from government and research agencies as well as commerce and industry. Projects are described, often with links to web sites of their own.

Learning Design Solutions: A Student-Led Embedded Enterprise in the College of Human Sciences
Awarded $25,000 as part of the CHS Innovation Initiative.

Learning Design Solutions is a student-led organization, which provides educational technology consulting services within Iowa State University (ISU) and communities throughout Iowa.
Learning Design Solutions' primary purpose is to create a context within which student members can develop entrepreneurial skills and competencies (e.g., identify an opportunity, develop a business concept, assess the required resources, acquire the necessary resources, implement and manage, and harvest the venture), practice managing the organization's financial and business components in addition to honing their consulting skills and applying their educational technology expertise to learning problems within the community.

The main goal of this program is to foster mutual understanding, respect and appreciation for the contributions, values and perspectives of cultures worldwide by providing 40 Turkish Student Teacher Interns an opportunity to travel to the US. Visiting Turkish Interns student teach in exemplary Iowa High Schools and experience daily life in rural farming communities as well as metropolitan cities such as Chicago and Washington DC.

Instructional Technology Consulting Start-Up - $6,150.00

The main goal of this project is to create and support a student-led organization that leads Instructional Technology consulting services. It is expected that this project will advance entrepreneurship education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels by providing students with the opportunity to get involved with real entrepreneurial experiences and model the application of entrepreneurial thinking across campus.
